May 2021 Newsletter

Thank you to all members who worked at making our landowner picnic a success last Sunday at the Warsaw Legion Building. 20+ members worked efficiently to pack barbeque chicken takeouts as we gave out 350 dinners to our landowners. It takes a team effort to make it work. Steve and Terry Mehlenbacher supplied us with excellent food once again.

We also held our last meeting of the season and discussed several topics.

The minutes from last month’s meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Gail discussed this month’s report and answered questions.

Gail Lawson and Glenn O’Connor are working on a grant through NYS Parks for our club. This is a long ponderous process with the hopes for the end result being monies for a new groomer in a few years. We are investigating the feasibility of a groomer barn too so we have some ambitious plans for the future of OVSA.

Steve Cox spoke on groomer maintenance being done throughout this coming summer and bridgework as well. If you would like to help with either please coordinate with Steve. 585-261-6318.

We had a very good riding season with our trails being open 37 days in a row. We logged plenty of groomer hours and once again had amazing trails to ride on. It takes a lot of volunteer work and our members pull together to help in many ways.

Thank you for making OVSA the amazing organization it is.

See you soon.
