Hello, All OVSA members and followers,
The weather is starting to change, and the weeks are getting shorter until we can ride. There is lots to do for us to have such an awesome trail system.
We started our meeting at 11:01 at the Silver Lake Sportsmens Club this month. We are always grateful that they allow us to meet there. The meeting started with reading the old minutes followed by the treasurer’s report. This month we talked about trail work, safety courses, gun raffles and much more.
Trail work has started, and the crews have been putting in lots of hours cleaning up trails and building new bridges along with trail marking. We have some updated trail information to talk about in this month’s newsletter. We have recently changed the trail that used to go across 362 in bliss, this trail is rerouted thru town on Main St. The town has allowed us to do so which helps keep snowmobiling thru Bliss an easy route. Other trail updates we have been doing are in the Pearl Creek area, Orangeville, Perry, Bliss, Pavilion. To help with some of our trails we received a donation of gravel from Silers which we appreciate a lot.
I’m sure a lot of people have heard that the hunting season has been extended until January 2nd. With this being after our normal opening date we want the public to know that we could not have all the awesome trails Oatka grooms and surrounding clubs take care of without landowners. The area we live in is mostly a hunting and farming community. Our trails will not be open until after the 2nd of January 2022. Any trail riding prior to this date is trespassing. Please help us keep our trails and even if we have snow prior to then they are not open. Some of our club members are in the process in lining up our annual safety course . This will be schedule to change as covid regulations change daily. Stay tuned for more information on this topic.
Our next meeting will be December 5th at 11 am. We have lots to do before we can enjoy the trails and are always looking for volunteers. Join today and think snow!!!!!!!
