September 2026 Newsletter

Our fist meeting of the new season was called to order by President Nate Merle at 11:04am.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Michelle updated us on the club’s finances and answered any questions. Various items no longer needed have been sold over the summer to help clean out our groomer barn.

There are no paper membership applications being sent due to the cost so we are encouraging more people to join directly online. If you would like to send in a check for $40 it can be mailed to:

OVSA
PO Box 84
Warsaw, NY 14569

Currently we have 21 members registered.

At the groomer barn 600 stakes have been painted so far and more paint has been ordered to paint another 400 stakes. Work has also been done on the JD tractor.

September 26th will be our annual Antique Sled show at the Charcoal Corral.

Michelle Hess needs the trail work voucher information as soon as you complete the various tasks. She has to turn them in within 60 days of the work being done.

Our annual snowmobile safety course will run on Saturday November 21st at the Warsaw Fire Department.

We are making progress with the state grant being awarded to us and Gail Lawson is soliciting bids for a tractor and trail paver. Hopefully we will know more soon.

Meeting was adjourned at 11:29am

We look forward to another great season of sledding and thank you to all who volunteer to make our club and trails the best.

Nate Merle, President OVSA
