April 2025 Newsletter

The meeting was called to order at 11:05 by VP Nate. Minutes were read and approved from last month’s meeting.

There was discussion on donations made in memory of past members and a defined amount was agreed upon.

Trail Coordinator Steve discussed cleats that need to be repaired. We have some pieces of equipment that need to be sold.

There are also some sink holes that need to be repaired on the RR bed.

We need to order 14’ boards for repair work too. Looks like the word need was used a lot in those sentences and maybe that’s because it takes a lot of materials, hard work and time to keep a trail system like ours in top shape. Yes we need to be constantly at it.

We will be holding our annual landowner chicken barbeque takeout this coming May 4th at the Warsaw Legion Building. Setup starts at 10am and plan to serve from 12-1:30. Please plan on attending to lend a hand and this will also be the last meeting before we start again in late August.

Last year’s August meeting was held at President Chance’s big new shop in Hunt. It was a lot of fun climbing in and out of large pieces of farm machinery and President Chance is also a great barbeque chef. We look forward to going back soon.

Jim Day will be picking up our annual September Raffle tickets soon so we can get them out there. Thanks once again to Tom and Jane Gebel for hosting this for us. Our two raffles are very important fundraisers for us each year.

VP Nate brought back prices and information for a new tracked Can Am UTV with a big box. There was a lot of discussion last month on different UTVs and how we would use one. A motion was made and approved to purchase the Can Am.

Thanks to all of our members for working hard to make this past season a very successful one.

See you next month at the landowner barbeque.
