President Chance called the meeting to order at 6:03pm at the Silver Lake Sportsmens Club.
The minutes from the August 21st meeting were read and approved. Our first meeting of each year in August seems to work great at President Chance’s shop, plus lots of tools and stuff to work on there.
Our snowmobile safety course will be held November 30th from 8-4pm at the Warsaw Fire Department. President Chance and VP Nate will be heading it up. The number to call and register is 585-519-1573. It was decided that Thursday nights will be our new meeting time at the Club and our next one will be November 7th 6pm. First Thursday of the month.
Our JD groomer is fixed and back to the groomer barn. President Chance will also be working on our NH groomer creating a better frame/blade attachment system. Thanks to the guys doing all the work in the off season to make sure our equipment and trails/bridges are ready for that opening day.
Chance and Steve Cox ask that they be kept informed on any bridge/trail work that needs to be done. Coordination and communication are a key for us having supplies in place ready to go. Please keep track of your hours and equipment used for any of this work. We need to submit these items to NYS Parks.
Our Wyoming County Snowmobile Federation wants to do maps again and the ads are $50 for the same size as they previously were on our old maps.
Thank you to Tom and Jane Gebel for overseeing another successful September Raffle for us and all those who sold and purchased tickets. Our two raffles are very important fundraisers for us every year.
Mason spoke about December 29th being available at the Perry Firemens Building for a proposed pancake breakfast. This would be for the landowners and sales of tickets will be available to the public. More details will be forthcoming about this event. This is not meant to replace our Chicken Barbeque we hold each May for our landowner appreciation day.
There’s always plenty to talk about at an OVSA meeting so come out and join us.
