President Jeff called the meeting to order and Secretary Hillary read the minutes which were approved with one correction for the date of next year’s Antique Sled Show. Hillary also requested any work sheets and equipment logs be turned in to her so she can keep track of them towards our trail work. Make sure to keep track of who is working, on what trail, tools used and the number of hours.

Treasurer Gail spoke about our fiscal situation and opened discussion on OVSA purchasing a new groomer drag for this season. The membership present made a motion and agreed to purchasing a new groomer drag from Advanced Snow Groomers LLC. The club approved the purchase of a new 9′ wide drag and the board made an official motion into the club minutes approving this action. Trail Coordinator Steve Cox will get the drag ordered.

Trail Coordinator Steve spoke about the bridges being worked on and trail work. Specifically the double staking that we will be doing throughout our entire system as NYSSA will have inspectors out looking for compliance this year. Violators of the NYSSA trail marking policy can be exempted from funds being sent to the club which help us maintain our trail system. We recommend stakes be 30′ apart and possible use of triple stakes when going up hills to clearly mark the proper lane for safe travel. Currently we double stake woods, culverts and roadside crossings so we’ve been doing quite a bit of it for awhile. Now we will just add the open stretches of fields. Stakes may be a little further apart in distance in the fields.

Brian Bartron is once again handling our February Daily Drawing which was very successful for us last year. If you would like some tickets please give Brian a call at 716-491-1847 or email him at bbartron@gmail.com. There will be an early bird drawing at the January meeting so put your name on every ticket you sell so you can win too. They are only $20 so make sure to get some.

Our annual elections were held with all current officers still in place. Secretary Hillary will be moving out of state at some point but has agreed to stay on until that time. Sheila Wilson has agreed to step up and take Hillary’s place when that time comes. Thanks Sheila. Brian Bartron is a new board member as Gary Morrison is stepping down. Treasurer Gail is also in her last year and we are looking for someone to work with Gail to take over for her next season.

Our annual safety course went off excellently with 35 in attendance last Saturday November 1st at RNE in Gainesville. Thanks to Glenn and Dennis and our club volunteers for working at this all day event. This is an important function of our club every year and vital for young snowmobilers entering our sport.

Landowner Picnic will be held at the Warsaw Legion next April 12th from 12noon-3pm.

The antique sled show will be held May 16th at the Charcoal Corral with an emphasis on more public publicity so they can come and enjoy our well put on event.

Our next meeting will be December 7th and we will have Roland Beck from Letchworth Park and also a Park Officer to hand out night riding stickers for the Park. Make sure to bring your registration and proof of insurance to get yours. We will also be having our Christmas buffet put on by the Sportsmens Club which always does a great job for us. Sure seems like there was a lot to talk about at this meeting. Stop in and join us at our meetings and thanks for your help getting our trails ready for this upcoming season. See you soon.
