Pres. Jeff called the meeting to order at 11:02. The minutes were read from last months meeting and approved. We ended the season with 438 members. New members joining after April 1st will be registered in the next season.
Treasurer Gail handed out the report and said the deposit had been sent for the New Holland groomer and financing for the balance has been secured. We also purchased a new trail paver which will be used behind the Tucker next season. Gail said we had plenty of hours for our work logs to submit to the NYS Parks and Rec. Thank you to everyone who helped with our fundraisers, trails and grooming to make this another successful season for us.
Trail Coordinator Steve has ordered 1k new wooden stakes for next season. The orange plastic stakes work great for trail corridor markers and the wood stakes are for mounting the roadside signage to.
Five club members went to the NYSSA Conference in Niagara Falls and reported new information learned at the different seminars. Social media communication was a featured topic for alerting members and the public to trail conditions and events in real time. A great way to stay in touch with our younger members.
V.P. Jim Day brought the steak/shrimp raffle tickets with him and if you would like some to sell or even just buy one please give him a call at 585-259-2438. Jim had the tickets out a month early this year so they are going quickly. Make sure to get yours. The early bird drawing for all sold tickets up to that date will be held Sunday August 5th.
Warsaw received 192″ of snow this year making it the 12th snowiest place in NYS. Wyoming County is a great place to snowmobile and where I put on most of my 1456 miles this winter.
Enjoy the summer which is finally coming our way and thanks for all you help this past season. We couldn’t do it without you.
Pres. Jeff f.
