May 2026 Newsletter

Hello to all of our members and this email will be the last of the 25-26 season. Today we are also holding our Landowner picnic and saying thank you for allowing us to use their property to make one of the best trail systems around.

President Nate Merle called the meeting to order at 10:30am and the minutes were read from last month’s meeting and approved.

Treasurer Michelle answered any questions in regards to the finances.

For the trail report it was mentioned that Bird Haven suffered some tree damage. We will be sending $300 to compensate them. A 2′ diameter culvert was installed by Chamberlains on Comet Rd. Work is being done on our groomers and equipment.

The NYSSA forum was well attended as were a number of seminars. NYSSA voted to raise the minimum for membership to $40 and most clubs will be doing that. Michelle made a motion and it was accepted that all memberships will be done online. There will not be a paper renewal form sent out as the cost is high and so few people join by mail. It’s an online digital world out there.

Jane Gebel mentioned that we are once again holding our September raffle and if anyone would like tickets please call her at 585-734-9315. Please support our club once again as this is our biggest fundraiser.

Discussion will be going forward on whether we should be holding our annual Landowner Picnic as a drive thru event or go back to a sit down like we used to do. Let us know what you think please.

Our Super Raffle through NYSSA should net us $627 and Jack Rase suggested we add another $250 to that number.

Our next meeting will be September 13th 11am and the idea is also being discussed about a possible August meeting to turn in tickets and monies for our Raffle.

Meeting was adjourned at 11:15am
