November 2023 Newsletter

President Chance called the meeting to order at 11:01.

The minutes from last month’s meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Michelle handed out our monthly financials and answered any questions.

We have successfully sold our BR 160 and we look forward to running our new to us Pisten Bully over our trails. And with only 7 weeks to go till the opening of our season we’re working hard on trails and machinery to be ready.

A few weeks back in October we ran our Snowmobile Safety Program instructing 17 youths and some parents as well. Thank you to our volunteers for spending the day doing this and Jane Gebel for securing the Fire Hall for us to use. Gus from the CSX RR always has a very valuable instructive video presentation as well. We also had some helpful guests from NYS Parks and Recreation.

Sergeant of Arms Jack Rase proposed our annual slate of Officers and Board of Directors to be voted on at our December meeting. There are no immediate changes being sought so stability continues at OVSA.

We will be conducting more bridge work and as the fields are cleared of corn we will be diligently getting our marking done.
If you would like to assist with any maintenance please contact us as we always appreciate the help.

We will hold our annual Christmas buffet at next month’s meeting hosted for us by the Silver Lake Sportsmens Club who always put out a fine feast for us.

We hope to also have a LSP officer for any latest information and night riding stickers.

Brian Bartron was also at the meeting to hand out our February Raffle tickets. If you would like any of these please give Brian a call at 716-491-1847

Thank you for your support of OVSA.
